Regulus Energy: Innovative Systems

Regulus Energy systems convert a variety of waste streams into pure hydrogen. The following feedstocks and more have successfully been converted into ASTM specification methanol, ethanol, jet and diesel fuels, and hydrogen:

  •  Corn Stover

  • Rice Straw

  • Municipal Solid Waste

  • Waste Plastics

  • Sewer Sludge

  • Wood Chips

Alternatively, liquid fuels, such as methanol, ethanol, and hydrocarbon fuels (i.e. jet fuel and diesel), can be produced.  Regulus has also deployed production systems to convert tire crumb into high quality carbon black and crude hydrocarbon fuel suitable for refining.

The Regulus Energy production designs are modular and each production line is optimized for specific feedstocks and offtake products. Regulus plants will reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill by over 80% while producing ASTM-specified renewable “dark green” hydrogen, and alcohol and hydrocarbon liquid fuels. The conversion of renewable hydrogen through fuel cells or combustion results in zero carbon emissions and elimination of other pollutants.

The production facilities produce essentially zero emissions. Because of the modular design, plant capacities will meet virtually any need – exceeding 100 million kilograms of hydrogen and 300 million gallons of liquid fuels annually.

Regulus Energy plants will also provide significant local benevolence that align with our vision and values.
